The only manual handling was transferring the sample (tea, oil, seed, nibbles, softdrinks, chocolate) and reagents (NaOH, Na 2 CO 3, internal standard) in the headspace vial. The sample was hydrolysed for 5 min at 90 °C in the agitator of the autosampler. Next, the fiber was exposed to the headspace in the vial for 25 min.
