Syringe Filter, GD/X, GF, 25 mm, 1,50 µm, 150/pk. The GD/X line is specially designed for samples with high particle content. The housing made of pigment-free polypropylene eliminates sample contamination in these filters. Whatman GMF 150 pre-filter layers (staggered media density) and GF/F glass microfiber media also allow for the filtration
Jan 27, 2006 · Finally, we removed the glass slide from the SAM covered sample and found a largely reduced magnitude of the cavity mode redshift over time by up to a factor of 3 (Fig. 4, red triangles) compared to untreated PCM reference devices (Fig. 4, blue dots). This demonstrates a partial surface passivation once a SAM is attached.
Glass Fiber Filters Without Binders These filters are composed of borosilicate microfiber glass without binder resin and are used for environmental, gravimetric, and biochemical applications. They retain structural integrity without weight loss when ignited to 550 °C after sample filtration.
Glass Fiber Filters without Binder Resin: The filters without binder resin retain their structural integrity without weight loss when heated up to 500 °C and can therefore be used in gravimetric analysis as well as for the filtration of hot gases. Type APFA •Retains fine particles with good efficiency, even at high flow rates

The prefilter contains a high-efficiency borosilicate glass filtration stack that will retain fine particles down to 0.7 μm, allowing difficult sample filtration with less hand force. It reduces the need for multiple syringe filters by processing three to seven times more sample volume than syringe filters without prefilters.
A typical solvent filtration apparatus is depicted in Figure 2. These traditional filtration systems can sometimes be challenging to manipulate within the laboratory, and as they are constructed from glass they can easily be broken. Contamination concerns from the filtration apparatus may also deter many analysts from filtering solvents.
Plasma volume – The amount of plasma generated from lateral filtration through a membrane varies depending on the polymer type. The two most commonly used substrates for plasma generation are asymmetric polysulfone and glass fiber. Glass fiber materials typically generate less plasma per microliter of blood than other materials.

Alumina oxide membrane filters are non-toxic and compatible with most solvents and aqueous solutions. The precise, nondeformable, honeycomb pore structure eliminates lateral crossover between pores, ensuring exact filter cut-offs and a narrow pore size distribution.
